Jalosjos assumed office after being elected unanimously by the province’s barangay captains in January 2024, a role overseeing and coordinating the efforts of barangay officials across the province. As a passionate advocate of tourism in Dapitan City, Hon. Jalosjos graciously toured Con. Gabutero and her team in the area including a tour to the famous Dakak Beach resort  and Rizal Shrine, advocating Dapitan City for its famous historical, cultural and natural attractions, including Aliguay and Selinog Islands, St James Church, Linabo Peak and Gloria de Dpaitan, amongst others. Hon. Jalsosos has filed for candidacy for Mayor of Dapitan City and the Philippine Consulate Office of Queensland wishes her well in her continuous efforts in making Dapitan a tourist friendly destination for not only local but overseas travellers.
