On Saturday, 28th September 2024, Philippine Consul Sheryll Gabutero joined the Filipino community for the annual pilgrimage at the beautiful Filipino Shrine in Marian Valley, Canungra. This cherished event celebrated the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod, two revered saints of the Philippines. The pilgrimage was a spiritually enriching occasion, graced by the presence of esteemed Filipino priests, Fr. Terence Nueva, Fr. Francis Belcina, Fr. Saldie Resolado, Fr. Rodel Enriquez and Fr. Wilber Chowbey
Pilgrims from all over Queensland came together in faith, with participants from Rockhampton, Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, Tweed Heads, and the Gold Coast.
Special thanks to Mary Ann Tejano Boehme, former President of the Filipino-Australian Gold Coast Community Inc., for organizing this heartwarming event that strengthens our faith and community ties.
Mabuhay ang ating komunidad at pananampalataya!
