The Sunday Basketball Cup, organised by the ever-dedicated KD Manansala, ran from 30th June to 29th September 2024, bringing together over 120 talented athletes passionate about basketball and proudly representing our Filipino community.

The grand championship game, held at Hibiscus Sports Complex, Mt Gravatt, on 29th September 2024, saw an electrifying overtime battle between Dom’s Garage and Mr. Sigsig, with Mr. Sigsig emerging victorious. Both teams displayed considerable skill, teamwork and dedication leading up to, and including the grand championship.

Trinity York Legal and Vision Homes by Dixie Morante was a key sponsor of this basketball league, for supporting the growth of sports in our community. Honorary Consul Atty. Sheryll Gabutero was honoured to watch the championship and participate in the awarding ceremony, showing unwavering support for Filipino sports that unites the community and ensures great sportsmanship culture on and off the court.
